19th Century Victorian Stuffed Macaque Monkey Taxidermy Collectible Curiosity

Fantastic example of Victorian taxidermy of a macaque monkey sitting on a branch. We think this monkey is made more characterful and endearing by his lack of hair, stitching down the front and beautiful brown eyes. He has a few woodworm holes which have no evidence of any live activity, he also has a few small holes in his skin revealing the straw stuffing. A wonderful addition to any collector or as a decorative curiosity in the home.
