Vintage Industrial Workbench Kitchen Island with Zinc Top

A design inspired and based on an original Baker's table with specific attention to proportion and methods of carpentry.

This particular unit was made to fit four old drawers, with their original brass cup handles, that came from an artist's cabinet. These give the piece a more authentic feel. We have hand painted and distressed the paint finish to look like an old piece of furniture. It is a beige colour inspired by Georgian 'below stairs' furniture. We can paint in any colour of choice and in a distressed or clean finish.

Each piece has ample storage provided by a mix of drawers and shelves. The drawers could be used for cutlery and linen, the middle shelf for displaying crockery and a bottom shelf for larger pots and pans.

This piece has a hand wrapped and aged zinc top which is a naturally anti bacterial surface and also looks outstanding. We offer a range of tops from reclaimed wood, new wood, zinc and copper.

This piece is easy to move around as it is on casters, so very easy to clean underneath;we can also make them without.

Each piece is crafted with close attention to original details and using mainly, where possible, reclaimed materials. These make truly unique centrepieces for any kitchen or retail environment.
