19th Century Victorian Pine Black Shop Counter

We were very lucky to find a pair of these Victorian pine shop counters. One sold previously and this one has just returned from a photo shoot in Ireland.

It is very hard to find such incredible and original shop counters in this condition, as they are so highly sought after. The front features panels with decorative corbels above, original black paint that has aged to a wonderful patina. To the rear there are open shelves, originally for drawers, which provide ample storage. The top has the most incredible wear and character, from years of goods being handed over,  as shown in the photographs.

This piece would make the most magnificent kitchen island in a home or shop counter in a retail environment.
