A unique and increasingly rare English bakers table, which until very recently was used to make bread in a local shop in Mendlesham, Suffolk, England. The shop was renowned locally for it's bread and kept the whole village supplied during snowstorms! The pine base features two large drawers on the right with original handles, a shelf below which has a bit of grease from it's bakery days, but is ideal to store pots and pans; to the left are a pair of original sliding metal bakers trays (more available if required), which create more storage. The rear side is paneled behind the drawers and open on the tray side, making it an attractive double-sided unit or equally practical as a sideboard. The top is made from sycamore, a beautiful pale wood which was popular with bakers as it provides a practical surface to work on. There is a slight gap where the boards butt up to each other, although this does not effect it's functionality. The whole unit rides on six metal casters making it an easy piece to move into place and give a cool, edgy vibe. A classic and timeless kitchen centrepiece which would complement any interior style.
