Antique Pharmacy Shop Counter

Absolutely incredible antique shop counter that came from a pharmacy in Scotland. There are labels on some of the drawers with the pharmacist's name, Mr. Leslie Bruce and the address was 9, Millburn Street, Ferryhill, Aberdeen. We were very excited to find these labels so we could pinpoint exactly where the counter came from.

At some point it became a workbench for someone, whilst it was great that somebody saved this piece they did do a bit of damage to the moulding; which we have repaired and colour matched. The front features four decorative panels all in the original paint.
On the rear side there are 22 drawers (amazing that none have been lost!) with original decorative cast iron handles that provide a vast quantity of storage. Some of the drawers have dents underneath the handles from years of use which is a great feature.
At either end are two shelves which would make great areas for display.

The top is mahogany, we have left it in it's original condition which shows areas of natural wear.

A truly wonderful and rare piece with character and patina that would make a unique kitchen island or shop counter; or it could be used against a wall to make a bank of drawers.
