We salvaged a pair of these great workbenches from a steel factory in Sheffield, England; so they have lots of original character and history.
We have teamed the bases up with modern cement resin tops, handmade by ourselves. The slightly off-white cement top contrasts perfectly with the black base and provides a very practical and hygienic surface for use in the kitchen. The top has been sealed with resin to protect it from staining and water damage.
There is a single drawer in the front for storing utensils and ample storage on the shelf below for pots and pans. Standing at 85cm, it is a comfortable working height and ideal as a sideboard or centrepiece in the kitchen.
